Freelancers Guide Accounting FAQs 1024x512 jpg

When you’re moving from job to job and invoice to invoice, it’s important to have your accounting techniques sorted but it’s easy to get overwhelmed! Kae Sakurai knows this, as both a freelance dance artist and a trained bookkeeper.

In this hour-long Q&A session, Kae will take you through the most frequently asked questions she gets from the artists she works with, as well as give you an insight into the upcoming changes to the Self-Assessment process which will be implemented by HMRC from 6 April 2024. Come armed with questions and be ready to learn!

The YTAS sector training programme is supported by funding from the Gannochy Trust and Creative Scotland. Bursaries are available to any YTAS Member who requires financial support in order to attend one of our training courses, and will cover any fees associated with the training.

Who is it for?

Freelancers: For those of you who are braving it on your own. Training for ‘freelancers’ will be spaces designed to investigate the unique challenges that come from working contractually for multiple organisations. Also suitable for those who have both part-time jobs and freelance work.
