Katie Stuart

General Manager (Maternity Cover)

Joined Youth Theatre Arts Scotland: 2018

Katie has worked as a Senior Arts Manager in Edinburgh-based theatre and dance organisations for over 25 years. In 2014 she chose to re-structure her working pattern – from full-time permanent roles to more flexible short-term contracts – and she has been very fortunate in finding interim roles and maternity cover jobs with a variety of arts organisations. e.g. Creative Carbon Scotland, 14 – 18 NOW, City Moves, FST, Hearts & Minds, Macrobert Arts Centre. Katie has thoroughly enjoyed those experiences as they have each offered the opportunity to be an integral part of a team, albeit for a fixed period of time. Those organisations are committed to developing their own specialist area within the arts sector in Scotland. Currently, YTAS is yet another such fortuitous opportunity.
