Spotlight: Lucy Vaughan is the new director of the Scottish Drama Training Network

Earlier this year, YTAS’ long-term friend, Lucy Vaughan took over the reins of the Scottish Drama Training Network (SDTN).

Formerly the Head of Creative Learning at the Royal Lyceum, Lucy brings with her a wealth of knowledge of the youth, theatre and education sectors.

SDTN supports the development of publicly funded drama courses across Scotland. Their network consists of 11 colleges and 5 higher education institutions, who provide training from NQ to postgraduate level. They strive to bring the right people together to develop practice-based drama training, and nurture the best of Scottish talent.

SDTN works in association with YTAS, to signpost young theatre makers to the practical drama qualifications available in Scotland. The ‘Course Finder’ on their website is a great way to see all the options available in one place.

YTAS wishes Lucy the best of luck in her new role, and the continued success of SDTN.
