Getting #YTbackintheroom

The news is in – social distancing has been scrapped and theatres are opening up (again)… but how do you feel about being ‘back in the room’ with your participants, audiences, and communities?

This February and March, Youth Theatre Arts Scotland is delighted to support a series of ‘back in the room’ events around the country, designed to connect local youth theatre groups and help to rebuild their work as the world opens back up again.

After a tricky few years, one thing that has remained positive has been the rich and joyful links and relationships that have been made across the country through events and activities online. These regional recovery events will build on these links – most of them in real life – to strengthen local networks as well as enhancing the capacity and confidence of Scotland’s youth theatre organisations, staff and volunteers.

Hosted by established YTAS members in target regions, these events will offer a space to:

  • introduce yourselves and the work we do;
  • discuss what would benefit you in terms of training, support and opportunities in 2022 (for you and/or the young people you work with);
  • hear about opportunities that you can tap into locally, regionally and nationally;
  • chat, share, network, and have a laugh!

So, if you live or work near one of the events below, please feel free to pop along – we’d love to meet you!

Please RSVP with your name, details of which group you’re representing (or if you’re freelance), access requirements, and any dietary requirements (in-person events only).
